Why Is My Page Not Indexed by Google?

If a page is missing from Google, use Search Console to identify whether the issue is discovery, crawling, or indexing. A page can be technically accessible and still not be selected for Google's index.
Inspect the exact URL
- Open URL Inspection in Google Search Console and enter the page's preferred HTTPS URL.
- Review the reported indexing status, last crawl, and Google's selected canonical URL.
- If Google has not discovered the page, add a link to it from a relevant page and check that its canonical URL is included in the sitemap.
Check common access and indexing blockers
- Open the page in a private browser window. It should show the intended public page, not a login screen, error, or redirect to an unrelated URL.
- Check that the page returns a successful response and that the intended version uses HTTPS.
- Review
robots.txtand page-level robots settings for accidental crawl blocks or anoindexdirective. If you change a robots rule, make sure you do not unintentionally block important site sections. - Check the canonical tag. It should identify the version you want indexed, and your internal links and sitemap should consistently use that URL.
- Look for duplicate or very similar pages. Consolidate or improve them instead of publishing multiple versions that compete with each other.
After fixing the cause
Test the corrected page with URL Inspection and request indexing once when available. Google must recrawl the page before it can reflect the change, and inclusion is not guaranteed. If Search Console shows an unexplained server or security error, ask your hosting provider to review the response and provide the URL and timestamp.
